Introduction of the Department
Welcome
to the Department of Business Administration. Our Department
offers a 3 year bachelor degree in Business Administration
and provides a professional core of courses needed for
vocational endorsement. The primary mission of the department
is to educate students in interactive classes where they
can learn acquire skills and form attitudes and values
appropriate for managerial and professional careers in
business, industry and government. Specifically, the programs
are designed to assure that participants develop:
An integrated body of knowledge in the business and
management of modern organizations.
A Set of essential business and management skills including
interpersonal, leadership, communications,
and team work skills.
Experienced
faculty expose students to real life business situations
in a stimulating learning environment. The Business
Administration program provides students the opportunity
to go forward in the broadest range of professional
directions and build sound and rewarding careers to
compete effectively in todays fast paced world and that
are valued by society.
Objectives of our department :
To provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills that enables
them to hold responsible managerial and administrative positions.
To open learning avenues for students through delivery of quality education, industry
collaboration and experts' contribution.
To offer academic programmes that are consistent with the current and future needs to the business community.
To encourage and support faculty to pursue activities that enhance the delivery of education.
Course Introduced :
PG Diploma in Event Management
The Department of Business
Administration has introduced an innovative course for
the graduates.Ours in the only college in
Madurai and among the fewest in Tamilnadu to offer a
Post Graduate Diploma in Event Management.
The most notable features of the course are its
flexibility and objectives of providing a genuinely
broad based education. Series of experimental learning,
Guest Lectures, Personality Development, Case Studies,
Presentations, Assignments, Field Visits, On-field
Training, Seminars & Workshops, etc. create all
round development of students. The students would be
involved in a number of
hands-on stimulatory projects to convert learning in the
classroom to a touch-feel-execute experience,
Preparation of advertisement, Shooting a Film
Documentary, Designing backdrops, etc.
