UG:
Part I Tamil will be given in Two Levels for Tamil Major and all other major students.

Major:
Study of Tamil Literature at various ages (from Sangam to Modern age), Grammar and Linguistics, Folklore, Journalism, Comparative study of Tamil and Malayalam Literature, Festivals and Nature and Life

Allied:
History of TamilNad and Culture

1. To publish a text book for I Year Part I Tamil students by the faculty of Tamil Dept. 2. To conduct the national level seminar on Sangam Literature in 2008-2009.
3. To have Language Lab in Collaboration with English Department
4. To publish a text book for Naturopathy 2008-2009.
5. To give Endowed Lecturers on christianity every year.
6. To conduct one month course on Epigraphy in VI semester for IIIrd year students as internship course.
